About the role:
n
We're looking for qualified Automotive Technicians who are ready to move beyond the workshop to provide day-to-day support in the assessment and adjudication of high-value and complex vehicle repair claims, applying strong technical expertise to evaluate vehicle history and contributing factors. As a Claims Specialist you will work both independently and collaboratively to manage cases, support internal teams, and ensure timely, accurate outcomes. The position also plays a key role in identifying trends, improving processes and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

This position requires a full-time, on-site presence, five days a week, to foster collaboration, strengthen team connections, and ensure seamless support across the business.

Key responsibilities include:
n
- Manage and prioritise daily case workload, ensuring timely resolution while escalating high-risk or complex issues as required
n
- Assess complex claims by analysing vehicle history and all contributing factors to symptoms, behaviours or operations (SBO)
n
- Collaborate with Dealer Support and Call Centre teams to support thorough case reviews and informed decision-making
n
- Provide guidance and support to team members on handling technical concerns, ensuring customer issues are addressed effectively and within appropriate timeframes
n
- Deliver insights on recurring trends and emerging technical issues to inform business improvements
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement by updating knowledge base articles, workflows, and supporting training and team initiatives
n
About You:
n
You are a technically skilled automotive professional with strong diagnostic expertise, sound knowledge of service department operations and a customer-focused mindset, experienced in diagnosis and vehicle repairs. You communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced setting. With a proactive approach and strong problem-solving ability, you take ownership of your work and contribute to team and business success.

To be successful, you will have:
n
Qualified Automotive Technician (Motor Mechanic) with a Mazda Master Technician certification (or equivalent) and 4+ years' post-apprenticeship experience
n
Experience in customer service and case management, with the ability to resolve complex technical and customer issues
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
n
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
n
Team-oriented with solid computer skills (Microsoft Office) and a willingness to support broader business initiatives
n
