Sustainability Advisor / Sustainability Coordinator – Construction / Building – Northamptonshire + Hybrid / Remote
n
Prospect for a permanent Sustainability Coordinator / Sustainability Consultant to join one of the UK's most successful Tier 1 building & civil engineering main contractors, with a very stable and quick growing forward order book.

Role
n
As Sustainability Advisor your duties will include:
n
n
- Measuring and recording the company's operational carbon footprint – Scopes 1 & 2, 3
n
- Coordinating the business Green Supply Chain, operational carbon footprint data – Scopes 1, 2 & 3
n
- Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting / Energy Saving Chance data collection
n
- Coordinating operational reporting requirements and reviewing actions needed for the year ahead
n
- Ensuring carbon factors are up to date in line with DEFRA / BEIS
n
- Assisting with development of operational reporting processes
n
- Liaising with internal teams during data collection and analysing data
n
- Liaising with external suppliers to capture and analyse data
n
- Liaising with the supply chain to collect the company's Scope 3 GHG emissions
n
- Understanding GHG protocol and working within the guidelines
n
- Keeping up to date with data and guidelines from BEIS / Government / other relevant bodies
n
- Ensuring use of appropriate evidence for reporting and maintaining data accuracy
n
- Ensuring data quality for carbon reporting
n
- Generating innovative ideas to help reduce carbon emissions in the industry
n
- Liaising with other departments to improve collection, input and reporting of Sustainability and Net Zero data
n
- Supporting the business targets to achieve carbon-zero by 2025
n
- Staying up to date with current technology, innovations and best practice in the industry
n
- Delivering Sustainability inductions to new starters
n
- General Sustainability / NZ / ESG support
n
- Acting as a Sustainability / NZ champion within the business
n
n
Location
n
Role is a mix of Northampton office, site visits and remote work; must be flexible to travel.
n
Requirements
n
To be considered for this Sustainability Advisor role you must meet the following criteria:
n
n
- Previous work in a Sustainability Advisor / Coordinator / Sustainability Consultant or similar role
n
- Genuine passion for sustainability
n
- Understanding of the principles of Sustainability and Net Zero
n
- Understanding of Net Zero frameworks
n
- Understanding of GHG emission reporting – Scope 1, 2 & 3
n
- Excel level 3
n
- Analytical skills and ability to create formulas
n
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
n
- Data / statistical analysis / reporting
n
n
