Occupational Therapist - Full Time / Part Time / Casual
n
Marsden Park, NSW | Full-time, Part-time, Casual or Contractor
n
$95,000–$115,000 + superannuation, depending on experience
n
Marsden Therapy is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team at Marsden Park.
n
This position is available on a full-time, part-time, casual or contractor basis. Flexible working arrangements are available, including a combination of clinic-based, community, school, telehealth and suitable work-from-home duties.
n
Eligible full-time employees may also choose a four-day working week, completing their 38 contracted hours and applicable productivity targets across four days rather than five.
n
You will work alongside occupational therapists, speech pathologists and behaviour support practitioners to provide coordinated, evidence-based support to children, adolescents and adults.
n
About the role
n
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will manage a diverse caseload while also contributing to clinical leadership, supervision and the ongoing development of Marsden Therapy's occupational therapy services.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify clients' strengths, functional needs and therapy goals
n
- Administering and interpreting relevant standardised and non-standardised assessments
n
- Developing personalised, evidence-based intervention plans
n
- Delivering occupational therapy to children, adolescents and adults across clinic, community, school, home and telehealth settings
n
- Applying strong paediatric clinical knowledge across a range of developmental, sensory, functional and behavioural presentations
n
- Supporting clients with sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine and gross motor skills, self-care, daily living skills, play, school participation and community engagement
n
- Preparing functional capacity assessments, progress reports,
assistive technology recommendations and other clinical documentation within your scope of practice
n
- Working collaboratively with families, schools, support coordinators and other professionals
n
- Collaborating with speech pathologists and behaviour support practitioners as part of a multidisciplinary team
n
- Maintaining timely and accurate clinical records, reports and participant documentation
n
- Providing supervision, mentoring and clinical support to junior occupational therapists and allied health assistants
n
- Participating in clinical meetings, training, service development and continuous improvement activities
n
- Meeting the productivity expectations applicable to your employment arrangement
n

About you
n
To be successful in this position, you will have:
n
n
- A recognised bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy
n
- Current unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
n
- At least four years of post‐graduate occupational therapy experience
n
- Strong demonstrated experience working with paediatric clients
n
- Experience delivering occupational therapy services within the NDIS
n
- Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and evidence‐based intervention skills
n
- Experience preparing high‐quality clinical reports and recommendations
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- The ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, educators and other professionals
n
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior clinicians or therapy assistants
n
- A commitment to professional development, quality improvement and ethical practice
n
- Valid Australian working rights,
or eligibility for suitable employer‐sponsored work rights
n
- A current National Police Check
n
- A current Working With Children Check
n
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
n
- A current Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle for community appointments
n
