Job Description
SDN Kensington is seeking a NESA-accredited Early Childhood Teacher to join our Preschool Room (3.5–5 years). This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality education and care, strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, excellent communication skills and a passion for child safety and inclusion.

About The Role
n
The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver an innovative, high-quality and inclusive early childhood program that promotes children's wellbeing, learning and development.
n
This will include:
n
n
- Planning, implementing and evaluating engaging learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.
n
- Monitoring, documenting and assessing children's learning and development.
n
- Building strong and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
n
- Supporting inclusive practices and positive outcomes for all children.
n
- Undertaking Responsible Person responsibilities in accordance with SDN policy and procedure, as required.
n
- Identifying and evaluating service needs, issues and opportunities, and making recommendations to the Centre Director.
n
- Developing and maintaining effective communication and professional relationships with children, families, educators, key stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
n
- Conducting all professional relationships with integrity while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
n
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with National Qualify Standards and regulatory requirements.
n

About You
n
You will have experience and skills in the following:
n
n
- NESA accredited qualification in Early Childhood Teacher
n
- Current NSW Working with Children Check,
Child Protection training, with a sound understanding of mandatory reporting obligations.
n
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications, or willingness to obtain them before commencing.
n
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standard, current naturalistic early childhood intervention practices.
n
- Strong understanding of child development and children's health, hygiene and nutritional needs.
n
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-quality educational programs and create inclusive, engaging learning environments informed by children's ideas, cultures, abilities and interests.
n
- Confident leadership skills, with the ability to mentor educators, share best practice, delegate appropriately and constructively challenge others to achieve strong outcomes.
n
- Explicit, engaging communication and relationship-management skills, including the ability to influence practice, seek and apply feedback, and work effectively with families, colleagues and external agencies.
n
- Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities, assess practice critically and recommend improvements.
n
- A proactive commitment to continuous professional learning, quality improvement, workplace health and safety, and SDN's purpose, values and vision.
n
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant early childhood systems.
n
