Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, you'll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. This is a dynamic position on a rotating shift roster, offering variety and the chance to work with cutting-edge glass manufacturing technology.

n

The key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

n

n
- Monitoring condition of Furnaces,Batch House equipment and SCADA systems
n
- Basic troubleshooting of operational issues
n
- Monitor the production of glass bottles in both the Forming, Inspecting and Packaging department;
n
- Perform quality inspection checks on newly formed bottles and other procedural checks;
n
- Operate computer production systems and interfaces;
n
- Assist with job changes and associated tasks;
n
- Trouble shoot - assist with general mechanical maintenance & fix minor mechanical problems;
n
- Contribute to a safe working environment for yourself and the team;
n

n

What you'll bring:

n

n
- Previous experience working with a manufacturing environment (preferably glass) and hands on experience operating machines
n
- A trade background is desirable, however a strong mechanical aptitude is essential
n
- You will have the ability to work in a challenging environment, hot, dusty and loud!
n
- Strong communication skills,



ability to work under pressure and a good eye for detail
n

n

Hours of work: 5-week rotating roster, days, nights and afternoons

n
