Salary $85,000 p.a. plus superannuation

Punjab Halal Meats and Groceries is a halal butcher and groceries store located in Homebush, NSW. We specialise in premium cuts of meat, poultry and small goods for retail customers, and cater to the needs and special requests of restaurants and caterers of halal food. Our butcher shop is growing and we are in need of a butcher to support our growth.

Main tasks as Butcher:

n

n
- Ensure safe operation of equipment such as meat grinder and bandsaw
n
- Cutting, preparation and presentation of produce
n
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and halal methods
n
- Preparing fresh meat cuts to the customer demand with the team
n
- Cut the meat and marinate in different styles
n
- Making the orders of restaurants and caterers as requested
n




- Fulfilling the cut and culinary tastes and demand of Muslim customers largely of sub-continent India, Pakistan and Bangladesh origin
n
- Create a welcoming setting for staff and customers
n
- Be a team player
n
- Ensure Meat Display Windows are clean and attractive
n
- Use the trim and residue of meat properly to increase the profitability
n
- Track and ensure correct packaging of customer orders for timely pick and/or delivery daily
n

Requirements:

n

n
- Have a minimum of 12 months experience working as a butcher
n
- Be able to provide recommendations to customers on the suitability of certain meat produce
n
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
n
- Fluency in English
n
- Residing in Australia
n
