Do you love cooking and meal preparation? Have you considered using your skills within a childcare environment? We have Cook roles available now across Footscray, Yarraville & Seddon, Altona, Williamstown, Sunshine, Werribee and surrounding suburbs.

A huge benefit of working as a cook / chef, within the childcare industry is no weekend work or late night shifts.

You will need to be confident working alone and in preparing up to 3 meals per day for a large number of children. In addition to cooking, your knowledge may be required in aspects of menu planning and nutrition guidance.

About you

n

n
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (highly desirable)
n
- Experience cooking in childcare,



aged care or hospitals
n
- Protected Food Handling Certificate
n
- Allergen aware as well as commitment to meet dietary, cultural and nutritional needs of children
n
- Available a minimum of 2 shifts per week
n
- Willingness to travel to different locations around your area
n
- Australian work rights and a willingness to gain your state based Working with Children Card
n
- Possession of a First Aid certificate is highly regarded by some of our clients
n
- Committed to Child Safeguarding and understanding of Mandatory Reporting responsibilities
n
- Willingness to obtain mandatory national child safety training certfiicate
n
- Able to provide contact details of two professional referees who have managed you and can speak to your work
n
