Trades Assistant / Workshop Labourer (CNC Experience Preferred)

Rex J Andrews Pty Ltd has been manufacturing and maintaining specialised heavy haulage trailers for over 35 years. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a reliable, hands-on person to join our workshop team.

n

This role would suit someone with experience in a manufacturing or engineering workshop who has operated CNC machinery or has basic machining experience and is keen to further develop their skills.

n

About the Role

n

Working alongside our experienced tradespeople, you'll assist with the manufacture of precision components and provide general workshop support.

n

Duties Include

n

n
- Operating CNC machining equipment (training provided where required)
n
- Assisting with basic machining tasks
n
- Loading and unloading materials
n
- Cutting, drilling and preparing components
n
- Using hand and power tools
n
- General workshop labouring and housekeeping
n
- Assisting fitters, boilermakers and machinists as required
n




- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
n

n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering or mechanical workshop
n
- Experience operating CNC machinery (preferred)
n
- Mechanically minded with a willingness to learn
n
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
n
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
n
- Commitment to workplace safety
n

Desirable but not essential:

n

n
- Forklift licence
n
- Overhead crane experience
n
- Experience reading engineering drawings
n
- Experience with manual machining equipment
n

n
