The Opportunity

Are you ready to lead one of Australia's most significant longwall restarts? As theLongwall Managerat Centurion, you will hold a career defining mandate: to architect the operational framework, drive the ramp-up, and lead the long term performance of a premier underground asset.

Reporting to theGeneral Manageryou will have full accountability for the Longwall department, ensuring that safety, production, and innovation are woven into the fabric of the site from day one.

Your Impact

- Provide executive oversight of the Longwall department, moving beyond daily tasks to drive long-term production strategy and operational excellence.
n
- Play a pivotal role inoptimisinglongwalloperation, ensuring systems, people, and equipment are primed for success.
n
- Partner with Maintenance, Tech Services, and Mine Planning to ensure a seamless, integrated approach to production.
n




- Champion a high performance safety culture, ensuring robust hazard identification, risk control, and compliance with all statutory requirements.
n
- Monitor equipment health, productivity trends, and departmental budgets to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes.
n
- Build and mentor a high calibre crew, promoting a culture of accountability, skill development, and professional pride.

About You

n

You are a seasoned mining leader with a reputation for delivering results in complex underground environments. You thrive on the challenge of a ramp-up and possess the "outside the box" thinking required to optimise a world class longwall system.

n

- Minimum 5+ years' experience in senior longwall leadership roles (Manager or Superintendent level).
n
- Highly desirable to hold QLD Statutory Supervisor qualifications (S1, S2, S3, and G2) or a First Class Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency.
n
- Exceptional knowledge of modern longwall equipment, automated systems, and strata control.
n
- A proven track record of building high performing teams and driving behavioural safety leadership.
