An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Fitter & Turner to join a well-established industrial operation based in Ingham, Queensland. Working within a dynamic maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency and safety of plant and equipment across a large-scale manufacturing setting.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding, machining, fabrication and repair work on a variety of mechanical equipment and assets.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform maintenance, repair and overhaul of mechanical plant and equipment
n
- Carry out precision machining, fitting and fabrication activities
n
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective solutions
n
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks to minimise downtime
n
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications and maintenance documentation
n
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards
n
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to achieve production targets
n

To be successful in this role you will possess

n

n
- Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner or equivalent mechanical trade
n
- Demonstrated experience in industrial, manufacturing, mining, sugar milling or heavy engineering environments
n
- Strong machining, fitting and fault-finding skills
n
- Experience working with pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, rotating equipment and hydraulic systems
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- A proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement
n
- Current driver's licence
n
