Medical Receptionist/Administration assistant required for busy Specialist Surgical practice
n
We are a well-established specialist surgical practice located in Ballina, NSW.
n
We pride ourselves on delivering care of the highest standard. Our practice deals with all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, with a number of sub-specialist and special interest areas of practice.
n

Well presented and able to communicate professionally (both verbal and written) with patients, other staff members, other medical and dental practices, and our local hospital network, with attention to detail
n
Experienced in medical or dental reception and administration. If medically experienced primarily, additional experience or background within the dental industry or knowledge of dental terminology would be highly desirable
n
Essential attributes:

Strong literacy and numeracy skills
n
Ability to gain proficiency with relevant IT/medical software systems. We use Xestro patient management software - experience beneficial but not essential
n

Casual appointment initially, with intention to progress to permanent part time, for the right candidate
n
Key responsibilites:
n
Front desk operations: Greeting patients with a warm and professional demeanour; answering phone calls and managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
n
Appointment scheduling: Scheduling and confirming patient appointments, handling cancellations and re-scheduling, and ensuring that the appointment calendar is managed efficiently
n
Patient Check-In/Check-Out: Assisting patients with check-in procedures, including verifying insurance and medicare information and collecting necessary documentation; facilitating the check-out process, including scheduling follow-up appointments
n
Patient records management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and office protocols
n
Billing and Payments: Assisting with processing payments, providing cost estimates, and answering billing-related enquiries
n
Administrative support: Providing general administrative support to other clinical and administrative staff, including data entry, and handling of correspondence
n
Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients and clinical staff, ensuring clear and effective communication for all patient interactions
n
