Contracts Specialist | Procurement & Commercial Contracts | Perth

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist to join a leading WA-based infrastructure organisation on an initial contract through to February 2027, with the potential for extension. Working within a high-performing procurement and commercial team, you will support the delivery of major construction, infrastructure and capital works projects through end-to-end tendering, procurement and contract establishment activitie

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead the end-to-end contract establishment process for major and minor construction works and equipment procurement activities.
n
- Support procurement activities relating to equipment, panel arrangements, and preferred supplier agreements for goods and services.
n
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop evaluation plans, tender documentation, and sourcing strategies.
n
- Manage tender and bid processes, including bidder briefings, clarification requests, and information sessions.
n
- Facilitate tender evaluations, including compliance assessments, commercial evaluations, and recommendation development.
n
- Support commercial, legal, and technical negotiations with suppliers and contractors.
n
- Prepare, draft, and manage contract award documentation and approval processes.
n
- Ensure procurement activities comply with organisational policies, governance frameworks, and legislative requirements.
n
- Promote procurement initiatives relating to local supplier engagement, Aboriginal participation, and sustainable procurement outcomes.
n
- Build and maintain solid stakeholder and supplier relationships throughout the procurement lifecycle.

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

n

n
- Demonstrated experience establishing and managing project-based works contracts within construction, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, or similar industries.




n
- 5-10 years experience in a similar role
n
- Strong understanding of procurement, tendering, contract formation, and commercial evaluation processes.
n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and vendor relationship management skills.
n
- High attention to detail with proven experience reviewing, preparing, and managing complex contract documentation.
n
- Sound knowledge of commercial and contract law principles.
n
- Experience managing procurement and contract establishment activities within WA Government, utilities, infrastructure or public sector environments will be highly regarded.
n
- Ability to manage multiple procurement activities while maintaining governance and compliance requirements.
n

Qualifications

n

- Degree qualification in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Law, Engineering, Procurement, Business, or a related discipline.
n
