About the Role

n

You will provide crucial clerical support and facilitate patient management for the palliative care unit . Including admitting patients completing reception duties and delivering exceptional customer service. A key component of the role is ensuring patient confidentiality is always preserved.

n

Create patient records and complete all necessary information accurately and in line with current procedures

n

Admit patients accurately and in a timely manner

n

Maintain a high level of customer service by handling patient/ family enquires via telephone and in person, in an efficient, professional, and caring manner

n

Arrange appointments for patients as requested by clinical staff

n

The classification for this position will be HS1 - HS17 ($58,442 - $64,610 per annum pro rata)

n

Your Contribution

n

n
- Previous administration experience in a health setting
n
- Knowledge of medical terminology
n
- Knowledge of private health fund billing and public health funding
n
- Knowledge of Patient Administration Systems
n
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
n
- Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team
n
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
n
- Excellent customer service skills
n
- A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal history check, or willing to obtain
n

You will be a part of the Environmental Services team, which is a large and wide-ranging department operating across multiple locations within St Vincent's Melbourne campus. We have Patients Services Clerks are located at both Fitzroy and Kew.
