About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Security Officer, to join our professional security team, who play a key role in our large resort operations. In the fast-paced environment of a resort, our dedicated team of Security Officers take pride in their responsibility to maintain and promote a safe and secure environment for all guests and employees.

Our security team monitor Royal Pines Resort, 24 hours/7 days week, working shift times 6am-2pm, 2-10pm & 10pm-6am. Reporting to the Safety & Security Supervisor, your key responsibilities include:

n

- Building & maintaining positive working relationships with internal & external stakeholders, including staff, guests & contractors




n
- Crowd control throughout the resort & property including group arrivals/departures, large conferences and events, bars & restaurants
n
- Traffic & parking control
n
- Patrolling the property and surveillance duties
n
- Monitoring various systems incl. security, alarms, CCTV, and access point control
n
- Check alarm systems and fire equipment
n
- Maintain operation logs, accurate record keeping responding to incidents, investigation & report writing
n
- Safeguarding company assets & managing security risks
n
- Respond to emergency situations & liaise with emergency services
n
- Maintaining the RACV values and culture
n

What you'll need to be successful

What you'll need to be successful

- Valid QLD Security Licence (incl. Crowd Controller & Monitoring), Driver's Licence, First Aid/CPR, WWCC Blue Card, Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate, essential
n
- Full availability and a genuine committment to flexibly, working a 7 day rotating roster including days 6am-2pm, afternoons 2pm-10pm, weekends & public holidays + occasional overnight shift 10pm-6am
n
- Previous hotel security experience performing the above duties in a 4-5 star hotel/resort or similar work environment
n
- Experienced in managing multiple systems including fire safety,



CCTV, intruder alarms and access control
n
- Attention to detail, highly organised & excellent time management skills
n
- Competent computer skills in MS Office applications & systems - email, daily log, auditing, incident report writing & communication
n
- Experience responding to first aid emergencies, fire emergencies& safety situations, drills and use of equipment
n
- Excellent communication, decision making and negotiation skills, and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders
n
- Work well in a team setting or be responsible to work autonomously,maintaining a friendly, professional and positive attitude
n
- Provide guests with a warm welcome and a consistent high standard of 5 star service
n
- Excellent personal presentation
