Job Description

We are seeking a casual Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and busy general practice in Coolangatta.

This position offers approximately 21-25 hours per week, generally worked across three days. Flexibility with rostered days is essential, including availability for early starts and shifts through to closing at 6:00 pm on a weekly rotating roster. However we aim to provide set days depending upon availability that can be discussed during the hiring process.

Following the successful completion of the probationary period, there may be an opportunity to transition to a permanent part-time position.

n

We are seeking a friendly, reliable and professional receptionist who is eager to learn, demonstrates integrity and commitment, and thrives in a busy, quick-paced environment.

You will be supported by an experienced Practice Manager and a welcoming team, with up-to-date systems and a purpose-built medical centre conveniently located in the heart of Coolangatta.

This is a front-desk, patient-facing position in a busy general practice and includes a mix of reception and general administrative duties.

- Professional and courteous manner with patients, doctors, and team members

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Ability to multitask and remain organised in a busy environment

- Willingness to learn and ask for assistance when needed

- Flexibility to cover additional shifts when other team members are away
n
- Ability to perform the routine physical tasks of the role, including moving lightweight equipment such as doctors' trolleys and unpacking or putting away stationery and supplies
