We have an exciting opportunity for a driven Branch Manager to join a agile and market leading Global Freight Forwarding & Logistics Solutions Provider.

Requirements
n
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be experienced in customs clearance and/or freight forwarding methods and practices. This includes accounting methods and practices, Customs Law, sales and commercial negotiation techniques, and fulfilling customer requirements. You will run a cost-effective workplace and operate in accordance with the company policy, mission, vision and standards. Key functions of the role include:

- Ensure the smooth and efficient flow of custom clearance transactions through the business units
n
- Make sure all aspects of the customers special instructions and / or SOPs are fulfilled
n
- Provide guidance,
motivation and support to all staff within the business unit.
n
- Delegate duties to the business unit members, ensuring adequate follow up procedures are met
n
- Ensure that any opportunities for new business or extension are acted upon
n
- Dispute and issues resolution relating to service
n
- Establish a client visitation program for all business unit accounts
n
- Demonstrate strong awareness and understanding of financial management and cost controls
n
- Produce a monthly report to be discussed at monthly management meetings
n
n
What You Will Bring To The Role
n
n
- University Degree or industry related qualifications (preferred but not essential)
n
- Minimum 5 years experience with Branch Management or Leadership role
n
- Quarantine Accreditation or similar experience.
n
- Experience with CargoWise preferred
n
- Knowledge of Customs clearance procedures
n
- Good technology skills, familiarity with Microsoft office etc
n
- Ability to Manage, Motivate & Develop Individuals
