Project Engineer - Bridges | Contract | Wagga Wagga

Rate: $135.71-$142.86 per hour (excluding super)

Hours: 35 hours/week (7 hours/day)

Start: ASAP

Duration: Through to 30/10/2026, with strong potential for extension

Location: Wagga Wagga - 5 days in office, with travel to multiple sites as required

n

The Role

n

You'll be responsible for delivering bridge infrastructure and maintenance projects that support road safety, asset management and network efficiency across the region. This is a hands‐on, site‐based role - you'll be based out of the Wagga Wagga depot with regular travel to multiple sites depending on project needs (transport vehicle provided).

What You'll Be Doing

n

- Delivering bridge construction and maintenance projects end-to-end
n
- Preparing estimates, job programmes, project delivery briefs, and WH&S;, quality, environmental and traffic management plans
n
- Managing a direct control workforce on bridge projects
n




- Overseeing tender and contract management requirements
n
- Using project and information management systems to track and report on delivery
n

What You'll Need

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- White Card (mandatory)
n
- [Pre‐start requirement - confirming details]
n
- Willingness to obtain a Traffic Control ticket
n
- Bridge infrastructure experience highly regarded
n
- Local or state government experience highly regarded
n
- Strong technical knowledge of bridge construction materials, equipment and techniques
n
