Security Admin (SM) – Secure Migration & Compliance | Mission Critical Programme

Our client is delivering a large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure transformation programme of national significance, operating within a highly secure and regulated environment.

n

This programme is centred on the modernisation of critical systems and platforms, where security, compliance and data protection are foundational – not optional. Every component of the architecture is being designed, built and migrated with Defence-aligned security standards at its core, ensuring resilience, auditability and protection of sensitive information.

The programme spans multiple data centres and involves complex migration waves across compute, network, storage and VDI environments. Within this context, security plays a central role in ensuring systems remain protected, compliant and operationally sound throughout the transformation lifecycle.

About the role

n

You will be responsible for ensuring that security controls are maintained, enforced and validated throughout the migration lifecycle, working across a complex and evolving infrastructure environment.

n

This is not a peripheral security role — you will be directly embedded in delivery, ensuring that each migration wave meets strict compliance, audit and security requirements before, during and after transition.

Key responsibilities

n

- Enforce and validate ACSC Essential Eight, ISM and security baseline controls across infrastructure
n
- Manage and monitor encryption,



access control and audit logging frameworks
n
- Conduct vulnerability scanning, risk identification and remediation activities
n
- Support the implementation and validation of network segmentation and micro-segmentation policies
n
- Ensure security posture is preserved through migration waves, including configuration and policy continuity
n
- Produce and maintain audit-ready documentation and compliance evidence
n
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and programme leads to align security with delivery outcomes
n
- Support security testing, validation and post-migration assurance activities
n

This role is critical in ensuring the platform is secure by design, compliant by default, and ready for operational deployment.

The successful candidate

n

You are a security professional with strong experience operating within secure, regulated or Defence-aligned environments, and a proven ability to work in complex transformation programmes.

n

- Strong knowledge of ACSC Essential Eight, ISM and security compliance frameworks
n
- Experience in vulnerability management, audit logging, encryption and endpoint security
n




- Exposure to secure or highly regulated environments (Defence or Federal preferred)
n
- Robust understanding of security controls within infrastructure and migration contexts
n
- Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance, audit and risk management
n
- Ability to operate effectively within fast-paced, multi-workstream delivery environments
n

Mandatory requirement

- NV2 clearance preferred, OR NV1 with NV2 actively in progress (non-negotiable)
n
