Job Description

- Providing personal care: bathing, washing, showering and preparing meals within a client's own home.

- Prompt medication and support clients to access the community i.e shopping and social activities
n
- Provide social support within the home any given time of the day (live in care included)
n
- Take responsibility of the shift while on duty
n
- Liaise with other professional staff in carrying out care plans
n
- Preferably should have a background experience in social care however we provide extensive training.
n
- Holds an SVQ2, HNC in Health and social care, or is working towards the qualification, qualification or equivalent.
n
- Good verbal and written communication in English
n
- A full UK driving licence and car are essential.
n
- Proof of right to work in the UK.
n
- Successful applicants will be required to complete a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) application and also register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of starting.

- To observe and promote the Client's human rights and the principles outlined in the health and social care standards

- To evidence that care is based on dignity and respect choice, compassion wellbeing and responsive to their changing needs

- To create and maintain good skilled relationships with Clients, their family and friends and the wider agencies
n
- To adhere to all regulatory and statutory obligations and Potters Health Care's policies, procedures and guideline
