United Energy Contractors are a contracting company with a combined 12 years of experience within the metering industry, that are now calling all electrical contractors that want to be involved in future Smart Metering works. Our client is a specialist Electrical & Telecommunications company that provides an array of professional services to a number of large Australian and New Zealand companies. They call upon the skills and experience of their hand selected teams on large scale national Electrical & Telecommunications projects.They have recently won large projects in the Smart Metering space across NSW, ACT, WA, QLD and SA.

The Role:

n

United Energy Contractors is seeking to build on its metering team by engaging with A Grade Electricians on a major, long term metering contract across QLD. Come and join our expert meter technicians, if you are an electrical contractor we will train you to a Nationally recognised standard for you to perform metering work across Australia with a focus on Safety and Technical aspects of the role. No metering experience necessary.

What you'll do:

- Investigate and rectify meter communications faults
n
- Installation and exchange electricity meters
n




- Investigation of meter faults
n
- Comply with health & safety procedures to promote a safe work setting
n
- Manage tools, stock, and equipment to standard
n

What you need:

- Pty Ltd company and relevant insurances
n
- A Grade Electrical Contractors License
n
- Valid Driver's License
n
- Construction Industry Safety Induction Card (White Card)
n
- Current First Aid certificate
n
- Current Working With Children/Vulnerable People Check
n
- Interval Metering Competency (UEENEEG171A/UETTDRIS60A) preferred
n
- Eligibility to work in Australia
n
- National Police Check (Valid for 3 Years)
n
- Energex Approval Letter
n
- Own tools of trade and suitable vehicle
n
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
n
- Metering experience on the Intellihub project preferred but not necessary
n
