Personal Care Worker / Disability Support Worker

Location: Avondale Heights, VIC
n Employment Type: Casual / Part-time
n Organisation: All Time Care Services
n Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am – 1:30 pm, with the possibility of longer shifts and weekend shifts.

About the Role

n

All Time Care Services is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Personal Care Worker / Disability Support Worker to provide in-home support to a participant with complex physical support needs.

n

This role is suited to someone who is confident with personal care, manual handling, meal assistance, mobility support, and providing calm, respectful companionship in a family home environment.

n

The current support hours are Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, with the possibility of additional afternoon support from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the future.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

The successful applicant will provide support with:

n

n
- Personal care, including showering, toileting, hygiene, grooming, dressing, and continence support
n
- Safe transfers, positioning, and wheelchair mobility support
n
- Meal preparation and feeding assistance
n
- Supporting the participant to sit upright and safely during meals
n
- Monitoring comfort, hydration, positioning, and general wellbeing
n
- Providing companionship, conversation, and gentle engagement
n
- Following the participant's established routine and family guidance
n
- Maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect at all times
n
- Communicating clearly with family members
n
- Completing accurate shift notes after each shift
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who is:

n

n




- Experienced in disability support, aged care, personal care, or complex care
n
- Confident providing hands-on personal care
n
- Calm, patient, reliable, and respectful
n
- Comfortable working in a family home workplace
n
- Able to follow routines and instructions carefully
n
- Confident supporting a participant independently when required
n
- Able to communicate professionally with family members and the care team
n
- Committed to person-centred support and maintaining participant dignity
n

Essential Requirements

n

Applicants must have or be willing to obtain:

n

n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- Working with Children Check
n
- First Aid and CPR certificate
n
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
n
- Relevant experience in disability support, personal care, aged care, or community care
n
- Full working rights in Australia
n

Desirable Experience

n

Experience supporting people with the following would be highly regarded:

- Cerebral palsy or complex physical disability
n
- Vision impairment
n
- Manual wheelchair support
n
- Manual handling and safe transfers
n
- Feeding assistance and mealtime support
n
- Personal care and continence support
n
