More than just a Job

n

We're seeking a Legal Adviser to join our Legal team, reporting to the Head of Legal.

n

This role provides legal support across both domestic and international matters — from drafting and reviewing Franchise Agreements and the Franchise Disclosure Document, to managing insurance renewals, claims and disputes, and helping protect Poolwerx's intellectual property. It's a broad, hands‐on legal role suited to someone who enjoys variety and wants exposure to franchising, commercial and corporate work.

What You'll Achieve

- Assist in drafting and reviewing Franchise Agreements, Deeds of Variation, Loan Agreements, Business Sale Agreements, Leases and other commercial contracts
n
- Prepare and update Franchise Disclosure Documents for Australia,



New Zealand and the United States in line with relevant Codes and legislation
n
- Draft and negotiate Step‐In‐Deeds and other leasing documentation
n
- Manage all insurance renewals, claims and disputes for the Poolwerx Group and Franchise Partners
n
- Support the registration and protection of Poolwerx intellectual property, including business names, domain names and trademarks
n
- Maintain master legal spreadsheets and registers across ANZ and the US, ensuring agreements, leases and insurances stay current
n
- Assist the Head of Legal with precedent templates, operations manuals and ad hoc legal projects
n
- Provide general legal advice to internal stakeholders on franchising, product warranties and related matters
n

What You'll Bring

n

n
- A law degree from a recognised university
n
- Approximately 18 months–2 years' PQE as a commercial/corporate lawyer (in‐house or private practice)
n
- General commercial and business transactions experience
n
- Franchising experience highly regarded, though not essential
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
n
- Strong Microsoft Word skills
n
