About the Role

n

Due to unprecedented demand, PremiAir has a full-time, permanent position available with an immediate start for an experienced and reliable Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our busy facility located in Thornton, NSW.

n

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the main responsibility of the role is to service and maintain diesel-driven hire equipment including Compressors, Generators, Light Towers and a variety of vehicles and trucks.

Duties

n

n
- Repair and maintenance of hire equipment to PremiAir and OEM standards.
n
- Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing on equipment both in the workshop and on customer sites.
n
- Other appropriate duties as required/directed
n

Skills and Experience

n

n
- You must possess a strong sense of urgency with an "I will make it happen" attitude to get the job done. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
n
- Experience working on trucks and light vehicles
n
- Experienced in the repair and servicing of compressors, generators, lighting towers, forklifts and telehandlers.




n
- Strong mechanical, fault finding and problem-solving skills
n
- Can work unsupervised and listen and follow instructions
n
- Has a strong team mind-set and a willingness to learn new products
n
- Can work a reasonable amount overtime, if/when required and be a part of our on-call roster
n
- Is reliable, punctual with excellent work ethics
n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
n
- Current HV driver's licence and forklift ticket
n
- Construction Induction (White Card)
n

Previous experience and success in a similar role will be highly regarded, however, the successful applicants will be appointed primarily based on attitude and the desire to assist the business in the next phase of growth.
