Senior Traders Assistant - Equity Options

An exceptional, newly created trade support position has become available in direct support of a Trading team focussed on Equity Options trading

n

This position would suit an experienced operations, trade support or middle office professional who has previous experience with a global investment bank, fund manager or trading firm and seeking to support a high-performing team of traders.

n

The ideal applicant would have at least 4 years' experience within Equity Derivatives in a direct trade support, operations or trading desk support role. A good understanding of corporate actions would be highly regarded as would robust Excel, VBA and ideally some Python.Responsibilities:

- Act as liaison between desk traders and other dealers, brokers
n
- Execute orders per the request of traders, operations and external Prime Brokersto ensure trading system parity
n
- Compile/reconcile data from electronic trades
n
- Examine electronic transactions generated from clearing firm
n
- Resolve erroneous and broken trades
n
- Assist with maintaining position,



P&L; and information exchange
n
- Update and manage all post computer screens including exchange trading systems, proprietary trading applications, and excel spreadsheets
n

We are looking for high calibre people who possess the following competencies:

n

n
- 4 +years previous experience in financial services industry and completion of finance/investment related course work a plus
n
- Thorough knowledge of Equity Options corporate actions, equity derivatives
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel
n
- Ideally Python, VBA, SQL and advanced Excel skills.
n
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written); ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
n
- Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
n
- Must be a self starter, a quick learner, and resourceful in solving problems
n
- Ability to move throughout the trading floor as needed
