Our client is a major Government agency responsible for delivering critical revenue and taxation services . As part of an ongoing digital transformation program, they are modernising customer-facing services and improving how citizens access and understand government information online.

Digital Content Writer

n

will join a multidisciplinary Agile delivery team responsible for designing and delivering clear, accessible and user-focused digital content.

n

Role Description

n

Reporting to the Change Management team, you'll be responsible for planning, developing and maintaining high-quality digital content across public-facing websites and communication channels. Using a user-centred approach, you'll ensure content aligns with government style guides, accessibility standards and digital best practice while supporting ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

n

- Develop, write and maintain explicit, engaging and user-focused website content.
n
- Translate complex legislative, taxation and policy information into plain English for public audiences.
n
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather information and produce accurate content.
n
- Apply accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), readability principles and digital content best practice.
n
- Review and improve existing digital content using customer feedback, analytics and user insights.
n
- Support communication,



engagement and content improvement initiatives across digital projects.
n
- Ensure consistency with government style guides and content governance standards.
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Demonstrated experience writing digital content for websites within government or highly regulated environments.
n
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
n
- Strong understanding of plain language principles, accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and user-centred content design.
n
- Experience using Content Management Systems (CMS) to manage digital content.
n
- Knowledge of the Australian Government Style Manual and digital content best practice.
n
- Exposure to Agile project environments and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
n
- HTML, SEO and digital analytics experience will be highly regarded.
n
