Property Maintenance & Facilities Technician (Full-Time)
n
Impact Care Solutions is seeking a skilled and reliable Property Maintenance & Facilities Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.
n
This role is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general facilities maintenance of multiple Impact Care Solutions properties across Sydney and the Hunter region. It is a hands-on position suited to someone practical, responsive, and able to work independently across a range of maintenance tasks.
n
You will support the organisation by ensuring our homes and service environments remain safe, functional, and well maintained. The role requires someone with a strong practical skill set, sound judgement, and the ability to respond to urgent maintenance needs when required.
n
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diverse work, autonomy, and practical problem-solving while contributing to environments that directly support children, young people, and people with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Carry out routine and responsive maintenance and repairs across multiple sites
n
- Attend urgent or short-notice maintenance issues as required
n
- Ensure all properties remain safe, functional, and compliant with operational standards
n
- Undertake minor improvement works and preventative maintenance
n
- Safely maintain and operate company-owned equipment and trailers
n
- Coordinate maintenance tasks across Sydney and Hunter region locations
n
- Identify hazards and report maintenance issues promptly
n
- Maintain professional communication with staff while working within service environments
n
n
What You Will Bring
n
n
- Proven experience in general maintenance, handyperson work, property repairs, or a related trade
n
- Strong practical maintenance skills and confidence using tools and equipment
n
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
n
- A reliable, registered vehicle insured for business use
n
- Your own tools (supported through a fortnightly allowance)
n
- Flexibility to respond to urgent operational needs
n
- Professional and respectful communication skills
n
n
Essential Requirements
n
n
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel between sites
n
- Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- National Police Check, or willingness to obtain
n
- Ability to work safely and follow WHS requirements
n
n
Desirable
n
n
- Trade qualification (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting or similar)
n
- Experience working within NDIS, OOHC, housing, or community services
n
- Knowledge of child-safe practice and Australian WHS standards
n
n
Compensation & Benefits
n
n
- $39.77 per hour (SCHADS Award Level 3.2) plus superannuation contributions
n
- Fortnightly and weekly allowances for tools, vehicle use, responsiveness, and availability
n
- Salary packaging benefits as a registered not-for-profit organisation, increasing take-home pay by approximately $250 per fortnight
n
- Operational travel allowance covering up to 2,000 km per month, with excess mileage reimbursed
n
- Towbar installation reimbursement where required for operational use
n
- Genuine emergency work outside ordinary hours attracts applicable SCHADS penalty rates and recall payments
n
