EP Food is part of Birch & Waite Group, with great growth potential that manufactures a range of fresh dressings and sauces on behalf of a range of national customers. Our products are preservative and additive free, and we are currently expanding our organic and vegan capabilities.

With a commitment to quality and innovation an opportunity exists for a New Product Technologist to improve our current offering, as well as develop and commercialise new products.

The Position

n

The is a permanent full time position based in our facility in Yandina, with the requirement to visit our Sydney team at Birch & Waite every 4-6 weeks.

n

Collaborating with both the onsite and Sydney based NPD teams, you will continuously deliver an ever-improving range of products to our customers, including national retailers. The New Product Technologist is a key role within the product team and will be hands-on in the end-to-end development of innovative, quality and safe products that will deliver sustainable profit growthto our business.

The position requires a food science/technology background with interest in involvement in the product development process.

New product creation, validation and commercialisation

n





Work with Procurement and Technical teams ensuring FSANZ guidelines are met with all development and the highest level of quality and food safety is applied throughout the development cycle

n

Research and development projects

n

Continuous improvement for products and process

n

Display an enthusiasm for healthy food trends, environmentally friendly packaging and future food technologies that ensure a competitive edge.

About you

n

Experience in the food industry would be advantageous

n

Tertiary qualification in Food Science/Technology or equivalent

n

Highly motivated and self-driven with outstanding attention to detail

n

You like a fast-moving busy environment and have a positive approach

n

Willing and able to travel interstate on short notice and at regular intervals
