About the Role

n

Vertical Scope Group is seeking Site Security Observers to support our client's construction security activities across domestic and potential international project sites.

n

This role is focused on site-based security observation, monitoring and assurance across active construction environments. You will work as part of a multi-person operational team, supporting the application of approved construction security controls and helping ensure that personnel, materials, tools, equipment and site activities remain compliant with required security standards.

n

This is an on-site role suited to individuals with experience in security, construction, controlled environments, or operational site-based roles who can demonstrate strong discipline, situational awareness, judgement and reporting capability.

About you

n

You will bring:

n

n
- Experience in security, construction, site operations, or controlled environments
n
- Experience working as part of a dynamic, multi-person operational team
n
- Strong observation, recording and reporting skills
n
- The ability to work for extended periods with minimal supervision
n
- Sound judgement, professional discipline and strong situational awareness
n
- Familiarity with Work Health and Safety principles and active construction site risk management
n




- The physical capability to stand for extended periods, move across active worksites, navigate uneven ground, climb stairs or ladders, and lift equipment up to 30 kg
n
- The ability to build effective working relationships with client personnel, project teams and other stakeholders
n
- The ability to operate or learn to operate CCTV, alarms, access control and other site-based security systems
n
- Willingness to work in a range of weather conditions and active construction environments
n
- Willingness to travel for domestic and potential overseas assignments, where required
n

Required licences and certifications

n

Prior to commencement, successful candidates will need to provide evidence of, or be willing to obtain:

n

- Construction Induction Training — White Card
n
- Working Safely at Heights
n
- Working in Confined Spaces
n

n

Additional client-specific security, construction security and mandatory training will be required prior to deployment.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

As a Site Security Observer, you will be responsible for:

n

n
- Observing personnel movements and activities within designated construction zones and controlled areas
n
- Monitoring construction activities for compliance with approved construction security documentation and controls
n
- Inspecting and auditing materials, tools and equipment brought onto site
n
- Identifying,



reporting and helping contain suspicious, unauthorised or non-compliant materials or activity
n
- Supporting the operation of site-based technical security systems, including CCTV, alarms and access control mechanisms where required
n
- Applying a risk-based and situational approach to identifying and escalating security concerns
n
- Completing accurate security logs, records and reports to support assurance, auditability and continuous improvement
n
- Operating within an established chain of command and escalating issues promptly and appropriately
n
- Supporting a secure, compliant and professional site environment throughout the construction lifecycle
n
