Senior Security Systems Engineer

n

Location: Onsite at ACT, VIC, NSW

n

Duration: 12-month contract, with 2 x 12-month extension

n

Clearance: NV2/TSPV, candidates must be willing to undergo OSA

n

Vectiq is seeking highly skilled Senior Security Systems Engineers to support a government cyber security program. You will contribute specialist technical and cyber skills across multiple secure environments, advising, designing, implementing and remediating security controls to enhance system security from Official to Top Secret.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Deliver advice and implement security controls across a range of systems in government environments
n
- Develop technical documentation, SOPs, Requests for Change, design and as-built configuration documentation
n
- Facilitate and participate in workshops focused on security engineering design and remediation activities
n
- Develop and test prototype security configurations to inform guidance and recommendations
n
- Implement security controls in accordance with relevant cyber security standards such as the Information Security Manual (ISM) and Essential Eight
n
- Provide guidance and direction to others,

About You

n

n
- Minimum 7 years' experience as a Systems Engineer.
n
- Demonstrating experience, providing advice, designing, implementing and remediating one or more of the following:
n
- Microsoft Active Directory
n
- Networking, Gateway or Software-Defined Networking
n
- Cross Domain Solutions and/or Diodes
n
- Sentinel or Splunk
n
- Enterprise Linux, Unix or Similar environments, such as RHEL
n
- Cloud environments, such as SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS on Azure, AWS, GCP or similar
n
- Complex Windows Enterprise Environments
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing technical documentation, reports, presentations and executive briefings
n
- Experience providing direction to others and illustrating operational goals
n
- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent industry training or certification desirable
n
