Job Description

As an Enrolled Nurse at Aberlea you will be responsible for

n
- Medication administration.
n
- Wound treatment.
n
- Resident assessment.
n
- Care planning.
n
- Support / supervision of staff on shifts and being a skilled role model to the broader Aberlea Community. These roles are supported by and work in consultation with the Clinical Care Coordinator and our Registered Nurses.

Required skillsand experience

n

n
- Current AHPRA registration.
n
- Demonstrated understanding of person centred care.
n
- Experience in leading and supervising teams of people.
n
- Previous experience working within a care role, experience working in an Aged Care Facility is advantageous.
n




- Clear communication skills and a strong customer focus to ensure that residents are put at the front and centre of all that we do.
n
- Ability to work autonomously while being an effective team member.
n
- A flexible approach to working, adaptable to different shifts on offer.
n
- IT skills - including the ability to use email and Microsoft applications.
n
- Understanding of the Aged care quality standards and accreditation framework.
n
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of contemporary nursing practice, importance of accurate documentation relating to pain management for complex care needs.
