Position Overview:

As a Surveying Technician at Ground Fix, you will be responsible for conducting site measurements, collecting and processing survey data, and supporting foundation repair and ground stabilisation projects.

This position requires strong technical accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across both field and office environments.
n
Responsibilities and Tasks:
n
n
- Conduct site surveys and accurately measure land, structures and site conditions using surveying equipment and GPS technology.
n
- Collect, record and process survey data to support foundation repair, concrete levelling and structural remediation projects.
n
- Assist in establishing survey control points and setting out works to ensure projects are completed according to engineering specifications.
n
- Prepare survey notes, plans, maps and digital records using surveying and CAD software.
n
- Perform calculations to determine site levels, boundaries, dimensions and elevations for project planning and execution.
n
- Monitor project progress by undertaking as-built surveys and verifying completed works against approved designs.
n
- Liaise with engineers, project managers and construction teams to provide accurate survey information and resolve site measurement issues.
n
- Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments while ensuring all field activities comply with workplace health, safety and quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills:
n
n
- Relevant qualification.
n
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Surveying Technician.
n
- Proficiency in GPS, total station and other modern surveying equipment.
n
- Experience using surveying and CAD software to prepare plans and reports.
n
- Robust analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills.
n
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
n
n
Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 – $85,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
