About the Role

n

This is a rare hybrid opportunity for an Optometrist who wants variety and growth opportunities without stepping away from clinical work entirely.

n

You'll spend part of your time delivering high-quality patient care, and part of your time out in the community — building and strengthening referrer relationships, running engagement strategies, and coordinating education events that position Clearsight as the referrer's first choice for their patients' eye care.

n

It's a role for someone who enjoys the clinical craft of optometry but is equally energised by strategy,



relationship management and being the face of the business beyond clinic walls.

n

This position will likely be 2 days Referrer Liaison for Bondi Clinic/George Street Clinic, 1‐2 days at Bondi/George Street in a clinical capacity and 1 day supporting our satellite screening clinics.

n

Regular working hours are generally between 7:45am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday at Bondi depending on Ophthalmologist schedules, with flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

n

Clinical Care

n

n
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and prescribe corrective lenses or vision aids
n
- Diagnose and manage eye diseases and disorders, including glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration
n
- Provide pre- and post-operative care and assist with minor procedures
n
- Educate patients on eye health and maintain accurate clinical records
n

Referrer Liaison & Business Development

n

n
- Build and grow the referrer network across Optometry and GP clinics, working closely with the Clinic Director and Marketing team
n
- Undertake regular visits to referring clinics to strengthen relationships and enhance engagement with Clearsight specialists and services
n
- Maintain and expand the referrer database, using data insights to develop targeted engagement strategies
n
- Deliver monthly referrer reporting on clinic visits, referral activity and outcomes
n
- Monitor referral trends and implement strategies to address any areas of concern
n
- Roll out the Optom Partner Program to drive co-management of care
n

Events





n

n
- Plan and deliver in-clinic and online education events for Optometrists and GPs, including program design, presenter liaison, CPD accreditation, invitations and post-event reporting
n
- Coordinate logistics end-to-end, from event platform management to stakeholder follow-up
n

About You

n

n
- Degree in Clinical Optometry and current registration with the Optometry Board
n
- 3-5 years of solid clinical experience, with strong knowledge of eye anatomy, visual function and diagnostic testing
n
- A genuine interest in growing beyond clinical practice — into relationship management, strategy or business development
n
- A proactive, "make it happen" mindset, particularly when it comes to events and referrer initiatives
n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust quickly across healthcare professionals
n
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
n
- Confident working autonomously while collaborating closely with Clinic Directors and the Marketing team
n
