Experienced Disability Support Worker – Chermside (Medication + Complex Needs)

My Care Living is seeking a calm, reliable, and experienced Disability Support Worker to provide consistent support to a participant in the Chermside area. This role requires someone who is patient, emotionally steady, and has strong communication skills.

n

We are looking for a female support worker in line with the participant's preference for personal care and support.

n

What You'll Be Doing

n

- Provide personal care and daily living support with patience and consistency
n
- Administer medication safely and accurately according to support plans
n
- Support mobility and transfers using hoists and safe manual handling
n
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation and progress notes
n
- Respond calmly and professionally during periods of emotional or physical distress
n
- Build trust through clear and compassionate communication
n
- Work collaboratively with allied health professionals and the support team
n
- Shifts are flexible and include days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Experience as a Disability Support Worker in NDIS settings
n




- Confident and competent with medication administration
n
- Strong attention to detail with documentation and support plans
n
- Excellent communication skills - clear, calm, and effective
n
- A consistently positive, patient, and skilled attitude
n
- Calm and resilient when supporting participants with complex needs
n
- Confident using hoists and performing manual handling
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Current First Aid & CPR
n
- Reliable car + valid driver's licence with comprehensive insurance
n
- Female support worker (participant preference for personal care and support)
n

Highly Desirable

n

n
- Experience supporting participants with complex behaviours or high emotional needs
n
- Experience in high-intensity disability support
n
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
n
