Job Description

Scully Plumbing is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice Plumber Drainer to join our team in Brisbane. This is a full-time apprenticeship position based in Brisbane QLD 4000, offering you the opportunity to develop practical plumbing and drainage skills under the mentorship of experienced professionals. As an apprentice, you will work towards gaining a recognised qualification in plumbing and drainage whilst contributing to our growing business. This role is fundamental to your journey into the skilled trades and will provide you with hands‐on experience across a variety of residential plumbing projects.

Key responsibilities

n

Assisting licensed plumbers with the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems and drainage networks

n

Learning to identify and diagnose plumbing and drainage issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques

n

Preparing work sites and gathering required materials, tools and equipment for plumbing tasks

n

Assisting with pipe fitting, joining and testing of water and drainage systems

n

Learning to read and interpret plumbing plans and technical drawings

n

Maintaining a safe and clean working environment in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations

n

Supporting the installation of fixtures, fittings and appliances as directed by qualified plumbers

n

Undertaking training through a registered apprenticeship programme to develop technical knowledge and practical skills

n

Contributing to quality workmanship and ensuring customer satisfaction on all assigned tasks

n

What we're looking for

n

Currently enrolled in or willing to commence an accredited plumbing and drainage apprenticeship programme

n

A strong work ethic with a genuine interest in developing a career within the plumbing and drainage industry

n





Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environmental conditions including outdoor sites and confined spaces

n

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

n

Attention to detail and a commitment to following safety protocols and industry standards

n

Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude towards work

n

Problem‐solving abilities and a willingness to learn current techniques and processes

n

A valid driver's licence and Ute are a must

n

Certificate 2 in plumbing is an advantage however, any relevant trade experience or interest in practical work is beneficial
