Flexihire Pty Ltd, a progressive Queensland & NSW based, 100% Australian owned Equipment Hire Company, is seeking to appoint an apprentice mechanic to become part of our multi skilled team in our Townsville Branch.

n

Reporting to the Branch Manager and allocated tradesmen you will gain:

n

Experience with working on a large range of hire equipment including but not limited to :

n

Rollers, Excavators, Generators, Lighting plant, Access Equipment and various small plant.

n

Obtain a Nationally recognized qualification with on and off the job training.

n

Experience and knowledge of working in the hire industry.

n

Prior to being offered a final selection interview, applicants should preferably have:

n

Successful completion of Year 12, with a pass in mathematics and English.

n

Completed a mobile plant pre-apprenticeship course. (Advantageous but not essential)

n





Hold a current QLD drivers licence. (Essential)

n

Be willing to work in other Flexihire branch locations as required

n

Be totally committed to safe work practices.

n

Have attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team and solo.

n

Hold a high risk forklift licence (LF) (advantageous but not essential)

n

The ability to adapt to change in a fast paced environment

n

Intermediate computer/technology skills

n

The successful candidate will be required to meet our pre-employment criteria including drug and alcohol screening & pre-employment medical prior to an Offer of Employment being made.
