About the Role:
n
As a Kitchen Steward, you'll be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, supporting the team with dishwashing, and helping ensure equipment and work areas are protected and ready for service.

Your duties will include:
n
n
- Wash and sanitise all kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
n
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitising all surfaces. Keep dishwashing and storage areas clean and organized.
n
- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
n
- Keep track of dishware and kitchen supplies, and notify the chef or manager when inventory is low.
n
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring that the kitchen is a safe and hygienic workplace.
n
- Collaborate with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
n

About You:
n
n
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward or in a similar role is a plus but not mandatory.
n
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
n
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
n
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
n
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
n
