Our client is seeking an experienced Sheetmetal Trades Worker to join their team. Duties and responsibilities:

n

- Interpreting technical drawings and blueprints for projects and assessing the materials, equipment and tools required.
n
- Measuring and marking sheet metal according to specifications and cutting requirements.
n
- Cutting, bending, and stamping sheet metal to match design instructions.
n
- Welding, soldering, bolting, brazing and riveting sheet metal to put together and install metal items.
n




- Installing piping, tubing and ducting for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, as well as installing metal roofing, guttering and downpipes.
n
- Soldering and insulating roof coverings to make them waterproof.
n
- Applying paint and rust inhibitors to sheet metal to improve its appearance and protect the material.
n
- Assessing damaged or rusty sheet metal products and repairing or replacing them as required
n
- Inspecting installed and repaired sheet metal products to ensure they are fit for purpose, waterproof and properly sealed.
n
- Performing routine and unplanned maintenance on roofing, cladding, ducting and piping associated with air conditioning systems.
n
- Carrying out repair work using hammers, drills, welding equipment and other tools.

Requirements

- Relevant qualifications.
n
- At least 1 - 2 years relevant experience as a Sheetmetal Worker or similar role.
n
- White Card (required to work on construction sites).
n
- Team player.
n
- Punctual and attentive to detail.
n

n

Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $80,000-$95,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
