Job Description

A leading Australian energy market participant is seeking a Data Analyst to join its growing team.

Working closely with energy market team, you'll help build and maintain the data infrastructure that supports market analysis, forecasting, reporting and commercial decision-making across the NEM.

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Build and maintain data pipelines using AEMO and market datasets
n
- Automate data collection, processing and reporting workflows
n
- Support market analysis, forecasting and trading activities through high-quality data solutions
n
- Develop and enhance cloud-based data platforms and tools
n
- Partner with trading, commercial and analytics teams to deliver data-driven insights
n
- Improve data quality, reliability and engineering standards across the business
n

n

Experience

n

n
- 4+ years' experience in Data Engineering or Data Analytics within the energy space
n




- Strong understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM)
n
- Experience working with AEMO data, including Dispatch and Settlements
n
- Robust Python and SQL skills
n
- Experience with Azure, cloud platforms, ETL/ELT processes or data orchestration tools
n
- Energy market or renewables mandatory
n
