Monday to Sunday
n - Day Shifts Available: 7am to 3pm (8 hours)
n - Evening Shifts Available: 3pm to 7pm (4 hours)

Female NDIS participant (29) with ASD and very complex support needs, living with family in Coburg, requires experienced female support worker to provide regular afternoon / evening assistance at home, all shifts will be 2:1 with another support worker.

n

She is non-verbal, requires visual supports, sensory regulation, restrictive practice compliance. Any experience with or complex home-based support, and managing challenging behaviours will be highly regarded.

n

This role would suit someone who is calm, patient, consistent, and confident supporting a person who requires close supervision, personal care assistance, communication support, and behaviour support strategies.

- Autism, intellectual disability, or complex communication needs
n
- Behaviours of concern
n
- High supervision or safety-related support needs

Participant Behaviours

n

Though you will be supported 2:1 with another support worker at all times, it's key you are made aware of the challenges this role brings, as it will only suit someone with experience in these behaviours:

n

Defiance and refusal: resists showering, teeth, hair, clothes, and toileting

n

Verbal aggression: yelling and screaming, up to two hours

n

Physical aggression to others: grabbing, squeezing, scratching, hair pulling

n

Inappropriate urination and defecation: soiling floors, carpets, beds

$51.34 to $52.93 Per Hour (inclusive of Super & First Aid Allowance) depending + Extra Pay on Weekends

What You'll Need to Apply

n

Minimum 2-3 Years Disability Support Experience with Complex Needs

n

CPR / Refresher Certificate (Completed in the Past 12 Months)

n

Current First Aid Certificate (Completed in the Past 3 Years)

n

NDIS Workers Screening Check (see Services Victoria Website)

n

Working with Children Check (WWCC)

n

Licence & Car with Comprehensive Insurance

n
