Hayden's Pies is looking for an experienced, energetic, and organised Kitchen Manager to lead our high-volume production kitchen. As a true South Coast institution, we take great pride in crafting premium, handmade pies using the finest local ingredients.

Working alongside our General Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage a passionate, diverse kitchen team, and ensure our award-winning standards are maintained across every single production line. This is a full time hands-on position based at our commercial kitchen in Ulladulla NSW.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Team Leadership

n

Roster, train, mentor and supervise bakers, chefs, apprentices and kitchen hands.

n

Production Management

n

Oversee daily production to meet ever-changing demands

n

Quality Control

n

Maintain strict consistency, flavour, and pastry quality.

n

Inventory & Ordering

n

Manage stock levels, reduce waste, and coordinate with local suppliers.

n

Food Safety

n

Enforce food safety regulations and kitchen cleanliness.

n

Workflow Optimisation

n





Keep the kitchen running efficiently during peak periods.

n

What We Are Looking For

n

Proven Experience: Strong background as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, Baker or Production Manager.

n

Baking Knowledge: Commercial experience with pastry production and lamination is highly regarded.

n

Leadership Skills: Excellent communication skills with an honest, positive, upbeat management style.

n

Composure: Ability to stay calm, organised, and focused under pressure.

n

Certifications: Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain) and current driver's licence
