About the Role

n

As the Head of Design (QLD), you will step into a pivotal senior leadership position. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and driving the overall design vision, strategy, and execution.

n

You will oversee and inspire a talented local design team to deliver high-quality, user-centred workplace environments aligned with commercial goals.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Team Management & Mentorship: Lead, guide, and mentor an experienced design team, cultivating a culture of growth, creativity, and high-quality solutions. You will manage project workloads, prioritise tasks, and run weekly collaboration meetings.
n
- Design Integrity: Oversee the entire design process to ensure technical precision, accuracy,



and brand alignment while continuously staying ahead of industry trends.
n
- Client Engagement & Growth: Partner with the Sales team and General Manager to pitch to new prospects, attend initial brief meetings, and build strong relationships with new and existing clients.
n
- Strategic Leadership: Contribute actively to the broader leadership team, identifying business improvement opportunities and championing best practices across the organisation.

Your profile includes:

- Design Expertise: A proven track record of leading concept-to-completion interior design projects within the commercial or workplace sector.
n
- Innovation & Technical Skills: The ability to push creative boundaries and "think outside the box". You possess a strong awareness of sustainable practices such as Greenstar, WELL, NABERS and proficiency in design software such as Revit, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.
n
- Project & Team Leadership: Exceptional capability in managing timelines, budgets, and design resources, alongside excellent interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative studio culture.
n
- Client-Facing Confidence: Skilled in leading client relationships, delivering high-impact presentations, and assisting in business development strategy.
