Graphics Technician (Pre-Press / Technical Designer / Draughtsman)

Employment type: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: £14‐15 per hour (based on experience)

Shift pattern: Alternating weeks – Mon‐Thurs 7:00 am–3:30 pm and 11:00 am–7:30 pm; Fridays 7:00 am–3:30 pm weekly.

We are looking for a detail‐driven Pre‐press Graphics Technician on behalf of a well‐established and highly respected business within the signage industry. With over 40 years of industry expertise, this business has built a reputation for delivering high‐quality signage and fabrication solutions, and they are continuing to grow.

Responsibilities

n

n
- Preparing artwork for large‐format printing and CNC cutting.
n
- Ensuring files are set up correctly, including bleed, scale, and colour management.
n
- Converting and managing multiple file formats for production.
n
- Interpreting briefs and technical drawings accurately.
n
- Collaborating with production teams to minimise errors and delays.
n
- Maintaining organised file structures and project documentation.
n
- Supporting the wider team to deliver high‐quality outputs on time.
n

Qualifications

n

n
- Ideally previous experience within the signage industry or large‐format print.
n




- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
n
- Experience preparing artwork for large‐format print production.
n
- Understanding of production artwork requirements, including bleed, scale, and colour management.
n
- Experience interpreting technical drawings and production briefs.
n
- Experience preparing files for CNC cutting.
n
- Experience using 2D CAD software.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast‐paced production environment.
n
