We're on the hunt for a Senior Accountant to join our team.

About the Role

n

As our Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of two companies while collaborating with the group's Manufacturing and Administrative Managers as well as the Director. You will handle end-to-end accounting, support strategic decision-making, and deliver high-quality financial reporting across fast-moving businesses.

Key Responsibilities

n

- AP, AR and payroll processing together with preparing payment files for upload to bank.
n
- AP tasks include managing the integration with MRP platform and reconciliations with supplier accounts are completed monthly.
n
- Ensure leave and overtime records are prepared and approved prior to payroll processing.
n
- Prepare regulatory obligations (BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax) for lodgement by their due dates.
n
- Monitor cashflow (daily), maintaining rolling cash forecasts.
n
- Perform end of month processes including:
n
- General ledger maintenance and adjusting journal entries,
n
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations,
n




- Inter-company loan account reconciliations,
n
- Prepare Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statements for each month and year to date.
n
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
n
- Identify and propose improvements to financial processes, accounting platforms and internal controls.
n
- Work closely with senior management, procurement and production planning teams to facilitate clear communication.

About You

n

n
- Degree qualifications an advantage however this could be offset by proven and demonstrable skills in similar roles with greater than 5 years experience.
n
- Proven experience in financial reporting and general ledger management.
n
- Solid analytical skillset, an eye for detail while being able to keep an eye on the big picture.
n
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Xero, Office 365 applications.
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
n
- Experience with Fishbowl inventory management and manufacturing software (MRP) advantageous.
n
