At My TreeHouse, we offer a diverse range of disability support services throughout Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter, including Individualised Living Options (ILO), In-Home/Personal Care and Community Access Supports. As a Disability Support Worker at My TreeHouse, you will work closely with our Participants, rostering, admin and management team to provide positive, goal focused support.

To be successful in this role you will
n
n
- Have experience working with people with a disability and hold current NDIS compliance documentation and relevant background checks. Please note that this role is primarily in-home/community access based (varying shift lengths from 2-8 hours) and will include travel across the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie region.
n
- Experience supporting NDIS participants.
n
- Be a mature-minded, confident individual who thrives on working as part of a team.
n
- Have strong interpersonal skills and a positive approach to co-workers and participants.
n
- A solid work ethic and high level of resilience.
n
- A genuine commitment to a whole of life approach to the support needed for people to live more independently and work towards achieving their goals.
n
- Be available for at least 10 hours Monday to Sunday including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
n
- Experience with personal care (including sling/hoist and sara stedy).
n
- Be able to write comprehensive shift notes and incident reports.
n
n

Requirements (IMMEDIATE START IF YOU CAN PROVIDE ALL DOCUMENTS)

- CPR - Within a year of completing
n
- First Aid - Within 3 years of completing
n
- Drivers Licence and comprehensive insurance
n
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module - NDIS Modules
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check - NDISWSC
n
- Passport or BirthCert
n
- Visa (if applicable)
n
- Police Check - Within 5 years of run date
n
- Working with Children Check - Working with children check
n
n
Summary
n
n
- Ongoing shifts available (mornings, days, afternoons, evenings and sleepovers).
n
- Casual position with expected hours: 10-20 per week with ability to pick up extra shifts.
n
- Primarily in-home/community access based and will include travel across the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie region.
n
