Job Description

Our client AMD Fire Protection is a leading provider of fire protection systems, offering end-to-end services including testing, installation, maintenance, sales, and advisory, with a focus on excellence and reliability and a strong commitment to quality and customer service.

The role

n

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs, servicing and maintenance across a range of fire detection and alarm systems, including EWIS and occupant warning systems. You will also respond to urgent call-outs for emergency repairs, while supporting minor works and project-based jobs through the installation and commissioning of fire systems.

Day to day duties include:

n

Carry out routine inspections, testing and maintenance of fire protection systems in accordance with Australian Standards – AS1851.

n

Identify & diagnose faults and complete repairs and rectification work on fire detection systems.

n

Accurately complete service reports, defect documentation and job records using our cloud-based software Uptick.

n

Perform system upgrades, alterations and retrofit works across a range of fire protection systems.

n

Test,



service and maintain fire detection and alarm systems, emergency and exit lighting, EWIS, and other associated fire protection equipment.

Communicate professionally with clients, site representatives and colleagues to coordinate works and provide technical updates.

About You

n

You will bring a dependable, proactive attitude and a practical approach to problem-solving. Confident working both autonomously and within a team, you will be well organised, hands-on, and able to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.

To be considered for the role, the ideal candidate will have the following:

n

Current electrical licence

n

Current Industry white card (NSW)

n

Current driving license (manual)

n

Current cabling license

n

Knowledge of AS 1670 series, AS2293, AS 1851-2012 and other relevant Australian Standards

n

Solid communication and customer service skills
