The Role

n

Working in North Queensland, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of production drill rigs and support equipment. This role will see you performing servicing, diagnostics, breakdown repairs, and preventative maintenance to keep equipment ongoing.

- Monday - Friday day shift only

- 50% of time in Mackay workshop in town, the rest on site

- Permanent full-time position

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing, and repairs on drill rigs and ancillary equipment
n
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults
n
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance activities
n




- Complete breakdown repairs safely and efficiently in both field and workshop environments
n
- Ensure equipment maintains peak operational performance and reliability
n
- Complete service reports, maintenance records, and inspection documentation
n
- Work closely with Drillers, Supervisors, and Operations teams to minimise downtime
n
- Maintain robust compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental standards
n
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance team
n

- Epiroc production drill rigs

- Sandvik production drill rigs

- Atlas Copco drill rigs
n
- Top Hammer drill rigs
n
- CAT ancillary equipment
n
- Mining, quarrying and construction support equipment
n

Requirements

n

n
- Trade qualified Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent
n
- Exposure to Sandvik, ETI, Top Hammer or similar drill rig equipment
n
- hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and diagnostic capabilities
n
- Mining, quarrying, construction or heavy mobile equipment background preferred
n
- Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
n
