About the role
n
Vinova are working with a leading energy infrastructure business looking to appoint a Procurement Lawyer to join its growing legal team in Sydney.
n
Reporting into senior legal leadership, you'll work closely with a large procurement function, providing legal support across the sourcing, negotiation and delivery of major infrastructure, engineering, equipment and technology contracts.
n
You'll partner with procurement, commercial and project delivery teams to help manage legal risk while supporting the successful delivery of a significant pipeline of energy infrastructure projects across multiple international jurisdictions.
n
This role would suit an experienced procurement lawyer or a construction lawyer looking to broaden their experience across both procurement and major projects.

Duties

- Advise on procurement and construction contracts across major infrastructure projects
n
- Support commercial negotiations with suppliers, contractors and strategic partners
n
- Partner with procurement, commercial and project delivery teams throughout the contract lifecycle
n
- Provide commercially focused legal advice across Australian and international projects
n
n
Skills & Experience
n
n
- Experience advising on procurement, construction or major infrastructure contracts
n
- Background within a top-tier or leading mid-tier law firm, or a Tier 1 contractor
n
- Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills
n
- Ability to build relationships with both legal and non-legal stakeholders
n
- Admitted lawyer with approximately 8–12 years' PQE or equivalent experience
n
- Work on nationally significant energy infrastructure projects
n
- Exposure to international transactions and cross-border legal matters
n
