About the Role
n
As a Restoration Technician, you'll play a key role in helping customers recover from property damage caused by water, mould, fire, and other disasters.
n
This is a casual position with the opportunity to transition to a part time or full-time role following the successful completion of a three-month probation period.
n
Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm. Overtime and participation in an after-hours emergency on‐call roster, including occasional weekends and public holidays, will be required as needed.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Complete initial make‐safe works to minimise further property damage.
n
- Install, monitor and remove restoration equipment, including dehumidifiers, air movers, HEPA air scrubbers and negative air machines.
n
- Conduct moisture inspections using specialised equipment and accurately record moisture readings.
n
- Perform mould remediation in accordance with industry standards, including containment installation, HEPA vacuuming, antimicrobial treatment,
controlled demolition and detailed cleaning.
n
- Carry out fire and smoke damage restoration, including soot removal, deodorisation and specialist cleaning of buildings and contents.
n
- Pack out, inventory, transport and safely store customer contents when required.
n
- Install containment systems, negative air pressure and dust control measures to prevent cross‐contamination.
n
- Perform detailed cleaning of structural materials and contents following fire, mould and water damage events.
n
- Maintain accurate job records, photographs and site documentation using company software.
n
- Communicate professionally with customers, clients and the Moretto Group team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
n
- Follow all company procedures, WHS legislation and industry best practices.
n
- Maintain company vehicles, restoration equipment and tools in a clean, organised and serviceable condition.
n
- Participate in the after‐hours emergency on‐call roster, including weekends and public holidays, as required.

What We're Looking For
n
n
- We're looking for someone who is reliable, motivated and takes pride in delivering quality work.
n
- Previous experience in restoration, mould remediation, water damage restoration, construction, cleaning or a related trade.
n
- White Card (Construction Induction Card).
n
- Current Australian Driver's Licence (manual preferred).
n
- Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Comfortable using mobile apps and technology to complete reports.
n
- Physically fit and capable of lifting equipment and working in roof spaces, subfloors and confined spaces.
n
- Strong problem‐solving skills and the ability to work effectively in fast‐paced environments.
n
- Willingness to participate in an after‐hours emergency call‐out roster.
n
- Availability for overtime and occasional after‐hours work.
n
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service while representing the company professionally.
n
- Mould Remediation experience.
n
- Fire & Smoke Restoration experience.
n
- Applied Structural Drying (ASD) certification.
n
- IICRC WRT, ASD, FSRT or AMRT certifications.
n
- First Aid and CPR certification.
n
- Experience working with insurance builders or insurance claims.
n
