The Opportunity

n

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer/ Draftspers onto join our growing in-house design team as we continue to self-perform design deliveryacross our renewable energy projects.

n

This role offers an opportunity to work directly alongside our engineers, project managers, and designers to deliver end-to-end design packagesfor major Solar, Wind, and BESS projects — from concept through to construction and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare detailed electrical design drawings, including single-line diagrams, general arrangements, schematics, and termination diagrams for Solar, Wind, and BESS projects.
n
- Support the development of High Voltage, Low Voltage, and Control System designs across a variety of renewable projects.
n




- Collaborate with electrical and civil engineers to produce design packages for switchrooms, substations, and balance-of-plant systems.
n
- Contribute to design standards, drawing templates, and QA processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across all SPD projects.
n
- Assist with as-built documentation and design coordination during construction.
n
- Work with engineers to transition SPD's drafting capability toward 3D design and modelling tools.

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an electrical design/drafting role (renewable energy, substation, or HV/LV experience highly regarded).
n
- Proficiency in AutoCAD(AutoCAD Electrical preferred); experience with other programmes ideal.
n
- Strong understanding of electrical design documentation, including schematics, GAs, and layout plans.
n
- High attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
n
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary project team.
n
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage priorities within project deadlines.
