An exciting opportunity is available for a reliable and hardworking General Construction Labourer to join a well-established development and construction group with a long-standing presence across the Sunshine Coast and now the Fraser Coast region.

n

Known for our hands-on approach, strong project outcomes and commitment to quality, we are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our site team and assist in the delivery of a landmark multi-residential development on the Fraser Coast.

About the Role

n

Working as part of our site-based construction team, you will provide general labouring support across a busy multi-residential construction site.

n

You will assist with a range of day-to-day site activities, including general labouring, site preparation and clean-up, material handling, assisting trades and maintaining a safe, clean and organised work workplace.

n

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic and is willing to pitch in wherever needed to help keep the project moving safely and efficiently.

n

This is a casual, site-based position paid at an hourly rate, with regular hours available for the right candidate.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Carry out general construction labouring duties as directed by site management

n

Assist trades and subcontractors with day-to-day site activities

n





Assist with the movement, loading, unloading and distribution of construction materials

n

Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas throughout the site

n

Assist with site preparation, clean-up and general housekeeping

n

Set up and maintain temporary site protection and safety measures as required

n

Assist with deliveries and the movement of materials around the site

n

Operate basic hand and power tools where appropriately trained and authorised

n

Follow all site safety procedures, SWMS and directions from site management

n

Identify and report potential safety hazards or site issues

n

Assist the wider construction team as required to support project milestones and programme requirements

n

Contribute to a positive site culture focused on safety, teamwork and performance

n

Skills & Experience

n

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

n

Previous experience working as a Construction Labourer or in a similar role within the building and construction industry

n

Experience on commercial, multi-residential or large-scale construction sites will be highly regarded

n

Trade qualification in Carpentry or a related building trade will be highly regarded

n





A strong work ethic and reliable approach to work

n

Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual labouring duties

n

A proactive attitude and willingness to assist across a variety of site tasks

n

Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

n

Good understanding of construction site safety requirements

n

Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely

n

Current Construction White Card

n

Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport

n

Full Australian working rights

n

Additional tickets and licences, including Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights or other relevant construction tickets, will be highly regarded but are not essential.
